Everyday Happenings at EFM
Every day at the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum, exciting experiences await! Our daily programming is included with admission and offers interactive, educational fun for visitors of all ages. From storytime in Discovery Forest to hands-on activities like the Collections Cart and Exploration Station, there's always something happening around the museum to spark curiosity and inspire wonder.
Programs may include nature walks, fossil-focused learning stations, and special meet-and-greets with our dino friends, all designed to bring science and natural history to life. Check the schedule on-site or at the lobby screens when you arrive.

Curiosity Club
Where young minds meet big ideas! Join us every day from 10:00–11:00 AM for Curiosity Club - a playful, hands-on science program just for curious kids ages 1–6. We’ll explore STEM concepts through fun educational toys, activities, and sensory-rich materials that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and wonder. It’s the perfect warm-up before Hatchling Storytime - come tinker, build, and discover!
Storytime
Join us for Storytime at the Fossil Park! Little ones and toddlers can enjoy our Hatchling Storytime, while older kids can dive into Junior Explorer Storytime. Each session features a rotating selection of books from our extensive collection, covering topics like dinosaurs, fossils, evolution, and other popular favorites. Fun, learning, and imagination await!
Collections Cart
Step up to the Collections Cart and dive into the prehistoric world! Hold a giant Megalodon tooth, examine authentic fossils up close, and ask our paleontologists all your burning questions about fossils and paleontology. Uncover the fascinating stories these ancient treasures have to tell!
Nature Walk
Explore the Outdoors with Our Guided Nature Walks! Weather permitting, our EFM Explorer guided walks take you around the grounds for an engaging, educational adventure. Learn about local wildlife, trees, plants, bugs, and more as our knowledgeable guides share fascinating insights about the natural world all around you.
Meet the Dinos
Meet the Dinos! Say hello to our dinosaur friends Rex, Tracy, and Pterry - take photos, dance, give high fives, and make unforgettable memories with these prehistoric pals! Dinosaur characters vary daily.
Exploration Station
Discover, Play, and Learn at Exploration Station! Our themed cart brings hands-on fun to life with interactive games and activities covering everything from dinosaurs and Pokémon to nature, animals, and more. Match the “feces” to the animal, test your knowledge, and explore educational adventures you can touch, play, and learn from!
