Bring your amazing fossil discoveries from home and have them examined by Dr. Zachary M. Boles, Assistant Teaching Professor and Assistant Curator EFM. Dr. Boles is a vertebrate paleontologist who conducts fieldwork right here at the renowned Edelman Fossil Park. His expertise lies in understanding how fossil sites form and the ecological insights they reveal, as well as studying the microscopic structure of bones to learn about the growth and lives of ancient organisms. You may recognize him as one of our paleo-experts working in our Collections & Conservation!

Dr. Boles will lend his expert eye to help you identify your prehistoric treasures. To make the identification process as informative as possible, please bring any background information you have about your fossil, such as where it was found.

Please note: While Dr. Zack will do his best to identify your fossils, definitive identification cannot be guaranteed.
