EFM GeoExplorers Summer Camp Information

GeoExplorers Camp is back! Start your summer with EFM at our GeoExplorers Summer Camp! Edelman Fossil Park & Museum is hosting two weeks of summer camp at our facility. Explore our museum galleries, dig in our fossil quarry, and go on hikes on our nature trails. Learn about what it takes to be an explorer and a scientist. Activities details to come.

  2. • Campers entering grades 1 to 6 for the 2026-27 school year (ages 6-12)

  3. • 50 Children capacity/week


  5. Time:

  6. Monday-Friday: 8:30am - 12pm


  8. Price:

  9. $200/child per week


  11. Dates:


  12. June 29 - July 3 (Land Theme)

  13. • Learn about the dinosaurs they dominated the Cretaceous coasts and skies 66 million years ago and name your own scientific discovery • Hike on our Nature Trails learning about the animals living around us


  14. July 6 - 10 (Sea Theme)

  15. • Learn about animals like mosasaurs, side-neck turtles, and other prehistoric marine life


  17. August 24 - 28 (Bug Theme)

  18. • Hike on our Nature Trails looking at bugs and plants • Learn about the pollinators that help make our plants grow




  22. Each day (Monday-Thursday) will include a snack time. Campers must bring their own snack every day.


  24. All weeks include lots of fossil excavation in our quarry


  26. Celebrate Family Day every Friday of each week of camp. Each camper brings their immediate family to the museum to show off their work for the week. Breakfast is only included on Family Day.
